2014 was a breakthrough year for Nadia Nakai. From featuring on one of the biggest remixes, “Amantombazane,” to performing on stage with the cream of African talent at the Channel O African Music Video Awards, this 24-year-old rapper is kicking off 2015 with a bang.
“Saka Wena” is the latest single to be released by Nadia Nakai. The song features Nigerian heavyweight rapper, Ice Prince, who has been quoted as saying “the record is amazing”. The collaboration came out of a mutual love for music and a high level of respect that both artists have for each other. Ice Prince, known for the hit “OLEKU”, has worked with almost every major West African artist.
Nadia Nakai, who has been working on her debut album since early 2014, is now confident that her project is near completion. The album is set for release mid-2015 and is supported by features from L-Tido, Sphum, Reason, Dot Com and Kwesta.
